Prof. Dr. Dorit Wenke
Professor of General Psychology and Methodology
Dorit Wenke, born in 1968, studied Psychology at the Technical University of Berlin from 1992 to 1998. From 1999 to 2000, she completed training as a communication and behaviour trainer at the artop Institute in Berlin (qualification: certified communication and behaviour trainer). In 2003, she was awarded a doctorate at the Humboldt University in Berlin, where she also obtained her Habilitation (post-doctoral qualification for lecturing at a university) in 2013.
She gathered extensive experience in research and teaching as a research assistant in the Department of General Psychology of the Humboldt University (HU) in Berlin (1998-2006), as a postdoc at University College London (2006-2008), as an employee at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig (2008-2010), as a scientific adviser in the Department of Experimental Clinical and Health Psychology of the University of Gent/Belgium (2010-2011), in the context of a research project, funding for which she herself acquired, at the Institute of Psychology, Department of General Psychology, at the HU in Berlin (2011-2014), and as Visiting Professor of Psychological Methodology at the HU in Berlin (2014-2015).
From 2001 to 2012, Dorit Wenke was also a part-time and freelance communication and behaviour trainer (specialising in communication, leadership and conflict management).
