Professors at the PFH

Grounded in theory, applied and practically oriented in research and teaching - the PFH has committed to this principle in relation to the courses it offers. The professors practise and implement this credo: all experts in their respective fields and acknowledged in professional circles. One of the PFH's basic concepts for enabling you to study efficiently is the "open-door policy" employed by professors and lecturers: Instead of having individual, fixed weekly consulting times, professors always keep their office doors open to you as students. This gives rise to unbureaucratic channels and rapid response times for consultations on term papers and written examinations, projects or other issues related to the study schedule.

Full-time professors at the PFH are complemented by honorary professors, who, despite not being full-time employees, have rendered outstanding services to the University and pass on their knowledge to students. They also already have many years' teaching and practical experience. Incidentally, the term "honorary professor" is not derived from the form of remuneration for these professors (Latin: honorarium), but from the fact that the activity is undertaken for the sake of honour (Latin: honorarius).
