Study Programme in Göttingen or Stade
The PFH offers the study programme in Business Administration at the campus locations of Göttingen and Stade. It lasts 6 semesters, leads to a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), is accredited by ZEvA, the Central Accreditation and Evaluation Agency, and state-recognised.
The study programme will provide you with knowledge that is both theoretically grounded and applicable in practice from all sub-areas of business administration. The syllabus in the first and second semester includes basic modules which introduce you, for example, to microeconomics and macroeconomics, accounting, business law and company activities like production and sales. As you will attend the same courses as in the Bachelor's degree in General Management during this period, you will be able to change your course of study up to the end of the second semester in Göttingen.
In the third semester, you choose one of the four fields of study, "Entrepreneurship", "Retail, Marketing and E-Business", "Tourism and Sport Management" or "Food and Agribusiness Management", thereby laying the foundation stone for your target career path. In parallel with this, you will continue to attend modules on general Business Administration. You will complete the study programme by writing a bachelor's thesis in the sixth semester.
In addition to the subject matter of the study programme, the PFH, more than perhaps any other university, has integrated elements that train your personal skills into the Management study programme. These elements include soft skills and foreign language courses, practical projects with companies and student social projects as well as personal mentoring through the PFH professors. Moreover, you can gather international study and life experience through a semester abroad. It is for this reason that the PFH has entered into university partnerships around the globe and participates in the Erasmus programme. The study programme will therefore prepare you optimally for assuming leadership functions in companies and organisations.
Career Prospects: Become a Tourism Manager, Startup Founder or Marketing Specialist
The combination of sound business administration knowledge and industry-specific specialist knowledge makes graduates of the study programme in Business Administration sought-after experts on the labour market. More detailed information about your career prospects can be found in the descriptions of the individual fields of study.
The "Study-Practice“ programme gives you, as a student of Business Administration, an opportunity to gather extensive practical experience in a company during your studies. In this study variant, practical phases of 70 weeks in total complement the academic theoretical phases of 86 weeks. You will complete the practical phases in one of PFH's partner companies during the lecture-free periods. You will be integrated into day-to day work routine and processes, contribute to real projects and get to know the company in detail. Depending on agreement, the partner companies also support "their" programme participants financially through a partial or full scholarship and optional salary payment. Company, student and University develop an individual solution in each case.
Add a Master's Degree in Three Semesters
After completing the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, you can obtain the qualification "Master of Science" in General Management in three semesters. In a total of four-and-a-half years, you will therefore obtain a fully-fledged entitlement to study for a doctorate and improve your qualification in terms of posts with leadership responsibility in companies and organisations. Special regulations make it possible to acquire, in a short period of time, the 30 additional credits required to start the Master's programme.

PFH's "No-Risk Entry": campaign makes it easier to embark upon studies: new students can satisfy themselves as to the PFH's concept on site over a three-month period. If the study programme does not meet expectations, the University will reimburse the tuition fees.
